It is Bazzano LA, Hu T, Reynolds K, et al., "Effects of Low-Carbohydrate and Low-Fat Diets: A Randomized Trial," Ann Intern Med. 2014;161:309-318 . It was designed to examine the effects of a low-carbohydrate diet compared with a low-fat diet on body weight and cardiovascular risk factors, using a randomized, parallel-group design . It is a single 12-month RCT of 148 adults, not a meta-analysis, and its published finding was that the low-carbohydrate group lost more weight than the low-fat group.

The real Bueno paper also does not say what the post says. Tobias, Chen, Manson, Ludwig, Willett and Hu did a systematic review and random effects meta-analysis of RCTs comparing the long-term effect (at least 1 year) of low-fat and higher-fat dietary interventions on weight loss, searching MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL and the Cochrane Database up to July 31, 2014 .
