This post gets the ingredients right but oversells the ranking. Sardines do contain DHA, calcium from their edible bones, and coenzyme Q10, and that combination in one cheap, low-mercury food is genuinely useful. But the claim that they beat almost any other single food on all three does not hold up. Organ meats like beef and pork heart contain several times more CoQ10, salmon and mackerel contain more DHA per serving, and hard cheeses contain about three times more calcium. The CoQ10 point is also the weakest part: your body makes most of its own, and food supplies only a few milligrams a day compared with the 100 to 300 milligrams used in clinical studies. One important detail the caption does get right is that the calcium only comes from sardines packed with the bones in, so boneless fillets will not deliver it. Evidence

Sardines genuinely contain all three nutrients named.
