Press coverage and author quotes put the figure at more than 600 associated conditions. First author Umair Khan is quoted describing significant associations with conditions "less frequently discussed in the endometriosis literature, like gastroesophageal reflux disease, asthma, and vitamin D deficiency." Clustering analysis identified patient subgroups with distinct comorbidity patterns, including psychiatric and autoimmune clusters. Notably, many associated conditions appeared in records before the formal endometriosis diagnosis.
